Just look at this insanity!

I don’t even know where to start sorting this lot out? If anyone has suggestions I’d truly appreciate it. I have the large drawer in the table and four Muji drawers and not much more room.

Perfumes, Oils, Perfume Samples…

Lipglosses and balms…

Primers, Foundations, Concealers, Powders…

Single/double eyeshadows, a few liners and lashes too…

Then there’s the things waiting to be blogged about, candles and a couple of other things…

Four drawers of Nail polish…

Then there’s this drawer….

Which breaks down like this. Skincare odds and sods…

Eyeshadow duos pain pots…blushers…

Blushers, bronzers, highlighters…

And then there’s the Hair stuff

And the draw of stuff I don’t know what to do with. Either waiting to be used, or used and won’t use again, or samples from sample boxes.

I wish I could tell you that was all of it, but there’s stuff in my handbags, stuff on my desk, stuff on my bedside table, stuff on the head of the bed, and lets not even think about the bathrooms. Re the make up though… I don’t want to get rid of it, I love it, but I’d love to be more organised but am just not sure how to go about it… does anyone have any practical suggestions? In particular for the big massive drawer?

Thanks in advance!

Gosh you’ve got a lot of stuff! I’d go to Ikea and pick up some cheap storage (actually I need to do this too!) x

    • I will have a look, really I need to find something to sort the drawers out and they might have something. Thank you.

for all the stuff and samples you don’t want anymore, give it to http://www.giveandmakeup.com/

If there’s stuff you don’t use/want anymore you could always join us on Beauty Box Swaps on facebook, you can swap what you don’t want for things you do.

  4. Get some drawer organizers, and throw all the stuff away you have open since more then a year (except for nail polishes and maybe some powder products) this is the rule with most of the products. Should be written on the packaging, with a 12 or 24 number – which is the months you can keep it after opening it.

Hi, Im new to your blog! Check out my post on make up storage!

If you break things down into categories:
Make up, Skin Care, Hair, Body, New Items, Back ups and extras.

Then get storage boxes for each of these categories, for example 6 categories = 6 boxes and then divide your items for one category within the box. e.g: Make up box is divided into lips, eyes, face.

Hope this helps let me know if I can suggest anything else! p.s Love your blog xx

  6. Can I come to play lol!!

    What a stash :) xx

  7. Without a doubt GET RID of the stuff you absolutely haven’t used in a while or at all or you know you’ll never want to use again. Do NOT second guess yourself on those particular items. Afterwards you can get storage bins for the different categories, and commit yourself to using them all before absolutely having to buy another product that’s similar to what you have. LOL! Ok, I know it’s easier said than done! But whatever, just a thought… ;)

    • but but I don’t want to get rid of any of it, I just want to organise it! Don’t make me throw away my preciousssssssses!

    • I’m sorry, I sounded so harsh, LOL! But in all honesty it is the method that I personally use for myself. I have 3 makeup bags and one train case in which case I use to store for my everyday assortment of stuff that I use to get ready for work. So one bag is for all my “special occasion” misc uses (highlighters, eyeshadows, eyeliners, etc.), another bag for misc. brushes and other makeup tools, last but not least a bag for all of my lipstick & glosses. I do have a separate bag for my nail polishes that I keep elsewhere in my place. As much as I LOVE makeup, and as much as I “think” I buy, I’ve gotta say I think I’ve got a handle in storing my stuff… but my husband probably thinks otherwise! ;) Good luck in finding the perfect storage solution for you!

    • Oh haha don’t worry, I didn’t take it badly! I have a train case and should employ that really. x

Love it! Thank you for showing us the fun that are your drawers, pardon the pun. I don’t have nearly as much as you, except for fragrances. I currently own over 60 bottles, not to mention nearly 120 decants, and samples? Well, let’s not go there ;-)

  9. I have some plastic stacked drawer containers that I got at Walmart and also a large one with shallow drawers that I got at Office Max. Then I also got some small plastic trays at Walmart to divide things up into. I have a drawer for lips, 3 for blush, and then eye stuff and whatnot. It has helped a LOT with finding things and not losing things as well. If you need ideas just look on You Tube. Some people have really good ones on there. Good luck organizing!
