Clarins Rouge Eclat Spring Collection with Swatches

This blog post has been quite a while in the making! I’ve got all these gorgeous products sat here but the light has played havoc with my photo taking, so I’ve been taking photographs in dribs and drabs and now I’ve managed to take them all! Hoorah!

As is usual with the Clarins collections, there isn’t an item here I don’t like, so I’ll try not to gush too much and just provide you with images and swatches.

Starting with the Limited Edition Face & Blush Powder £30.

I love every single version of these I have, there’s usually one with each collection. Each differs slightly and so I have to play around with them each time to work out how best to use them to suit me. This one works well,  when as a blush for me, those stripes of peach and pink provide enough punch so that that when a brush is swept over the whole thing, they still come out mostly blusher coloured, and what a pretty colour it is too. You can see this in use on my cheeks at the end of this post.

New Mineral Loose Powder £30.

I’ve long been a fan, nay, devotee, of Clarins pressed powders, but hadn’t tried a loose powder. This doesn’t disappoint at all. Available in Light, Medium and Dark and I have the light version. My preferred method of application is to press on using the included powder puff and then go over my face with a powder brush afterwards. Simply a great powder. I am wearing this in the final photographs on this post, but I am forcing myself to use up my much less pleasant powders before I use this again. My Chanel powder refuses to die damn it!

Limited Edition Iris Blossom Eye Quartet Mineral Palette £30

As with all the Clarins Mineral Palettes, these shadows can be used wet or dry. Now I only ever use shadows dry, I simply can’t be bothered with using things wet, and I generally prefer a sheerer finish anyway, but the combination of colours here is very pretty, there’s a taupe, black, purple and ivory. All offer a satin finish except for the ivory which is quite shimmery. Such lovely colour combinations and I’ve particularly like wearing this with the Violet Kohl Kajal from the Summer collection which really brings out that purple shade.

Next we have two new Jolie Rouge Brilliant Lipsticks in 17 Watermelon and 18 Sweet Plum £17.

These lovely lipsticks are so lovely, they have a sheer finish and a moisturising formula, I’ve a few of them now and they are fail safes for when you want a pop of colour but don’t want a full on lipstick. I particularly love Watermelon (the first of the two shown above) but I feel Sweet Plum matches the Eye Quartet better. I’ve worn both though, so lovely.

Finally there are two  Gloss Prodige, one of which is Limited Edition. 09 Water Lily and 10 Vibrant Rose (Ltd Edition) £15.50.

These two pretties are both lovely, I’m drawn to glosses like a moth to a flame, not sure why since I don’t really wear them. Water Lily is a nude with a small amount of shimmer and Vibrant Rose is both vibrant and shimmery, very pretty, but manages to avoid being frosty.

Here’s most of the products in use with Watermelon Jolie Rouge Brilliant Lipstick:

There are of course all the new Rouge Eclat Lipsticks which I have reviewed and swatched here, and I have acquired a few more to show you very soon too.

So does anything take your fancy? I’d have to say the Face & Blush powder would be my top pick, its not only pretty to look at but it looks pretty in use too!

As always I’d have to recommend Escentual for Clarins as there’s always a discount!
