Oh I’ve had my eye on this beauty for since it’s recent release so I’m delighted to have the opportunity to try it out!
First of all, I love the luxurious matte gold and black packaging. It’s very chic I think.
Inside what we have is a pressed powder with a highlight shade and a contour shade.
It is a beautiful powder, so smooth and transfers to my brush with ease, and then from my brush to my cheeks with no bother whatsoever, it seems to have just the right amount of pigment in the contour shade and just the right amount of highlight in the highlight shade, in fact, it’s nigh on perfect.
Application is easy, apply the dark shade directly under your cheekbones and the light shade on the highest part of the cheekbones… you can either wear it alone or apply it after your blusher. I’ve done both and it works perfectly well both ways, but for the purpose of the following pictures, I’m wearing it alone.
I think I need to work on my application a little, I think the contour shade should come a little higher on my cheeks but even so I think the effect is great.
I’ve recently hit pan on my Benefit 10 powder which is a product for the same thing, but I much prefer Daniel Sandler’s powder, the highlight is effective but more subtle than Benefit’s offering.
I can highly recommend the Sculpt & Slim-Effect powder for contouring purposes. It’s really superb.
It’ retails at £24.50 for a good sized pan of product, and is available from www.danielsandler.com now.
I also have the Radiant Sheen Illuminating Face Powder and Instant Tan, Wash off Face Powder coming up in blog posts soon. Look out for those!
