Washing your make up brushes is a necessary evil. Alas I wasn’t doing mine nearly enough so I decided to invest in products that would make brush cleaning quick easy and more pleasant.
The first thing I bought was the Cozzette Aromatherapy Brush Cleaner (£13.95) which I use for spot cleaning my brushes every single time after use. A quick spray on a tissue and then wipe your brush over the damp until it’s clean, and done. But even though I’m doing this regularly now my brushes still need a regular deep clean and this is where Enkore’s Make Up Pro Brush Soap come into play.
This little beauty is amazing! I chose the pomegranate scent but you can also choose from unscented, apricot, canteloupe, english rose, french lavender, gardenia, jasmine, lemon, mango, pearberry, and tangerine. I’m really happy with my choice, the pomegranate one smells incredible.
So anyway, what we have is a solid bar of soap/shampoo, which comes in it’s own handy little pot, but the brilliant thing about this is that it is has a loofah on the other side!
To use, this couldn’t be simpler. Moisten your brush, then lather it on the soap before flipping and working your brush on the loofah side to loosen any dirt and really deep clean. I was a little worried it might be too harsh, but my brushes are still as good as new. It’s so simple and so quick, all these years of using shampoo and still having dirty brushes, those days are gone. This leaves things spotless, although my most regularly used foundation brush needed to goes to get it super clean.
The other thing I was worried about was how long it’d last as it seemed to be going down fast as I used it but when I’d finished doing all of the above brushes, I was left with this.
I think it’s going to last me a few deep cleans!
Simple and quick to use portable thanks to it’s little travel case, and effective. And it’s very reasonable £8.50.
I bought mine with my own money from Cocktail Cosmetics. I’m thinking Pearberry next, just because I don’t have a clue what it is!
