I’ve long been a fan of HD Brows and indeed HD Brow products. Unfortunately I’m no longer getting my HD brows since as the girl who did them no longer works in my town, so I’ve been just looking after my brows myself. I still however, use the HD Brow shadows almost daily as they are just the best. I had the original palette which they no longer make but it was starting to look very tired and old now so I was delighted to be given one of the new palette’s Vamp to try out.
The Palette comes in three colourways, Bombshell for blondes, Foxy for brunettes and Vamp for those with dark hair. I don’t have dark hair any more but I do prefer a darker brow and always apply a dark tint to them, and besides, three of the shades in Vamp aren’t all that dark by my standards. If you look at the above picture, I find the bottom left one is the perfect shade for me.
The brush that comes with the palette is okay and it’s a decent quality, but I prefer to use a much finer brush to apply my powders, favouring the Japonesque Travel Angled Eye Liner Brush.
In case you weren’t already aware, all of the above powders double up as matte eye shadows. I don’t use them this way, other than occasionally using the ivory shade as a brow highlight, but there’s no reason for this, they are very good quality and work well as shadows.
The palette is a little pricey at £19.96 but in my opinion they are worth every penny. Once the colour is applied to your brown, it stays put all day, and certainly in my case, until I wash my face. Superb and I couldn’t ask for more.
